Privacy Policy

Last updated June 10, 2026

Boring Kanban ("we," "us") makes a project-management app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We've tried to keep it as plain as the product.

What we collect

  • Account data — your name, email address, and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
  • Content you create — projects, boards, cards, comments, and conversations you and your team add.
  • Billing data — handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We store a customer reference and your subscription status; we never see or store full card numbers.
  • Basic usage logs — request logs and error reports needed to keep the service running and secure.

How we use it

To run the product: authenticate you, store your work, process your subscription, send account and notification emails you've asked for, and fix things when they break. That's it. We don't sell your data, and we don't show you ads.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to operate: Stripe for payments and our hosting and email providers for delivery. They process data on our behalf and are bound to protect it. We will disclose data if required by law, and we'll tell you unless we're legally barred from doing so.

Your content is yours

You can export every project as Markdown or JSON at any time, and you can delete your account and its data from your settings. When you delete, we remove your content from the live system promptly and from backups as they age out.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in and a stored preference for light or dark mode. We don't use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Changes

If we make a meaningful change to this policy, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, let account holders know by email.
